No federal mandate. Real penalty exposure anyway.

One excluded employee you didn't catch can cost you up to $25,595. We're building monthly screening across every list that matters.

There's no federal law requiring you to screen monthly — OIG says so itself. What actually creates exposure is the "knew or should have known" standard: employ or contract with someone excluded, and OIG can assess a civil penalty per item or service they touch. Screening monthly, and keeping proof, is what makes "should have known" defensible. Beyond the federal LEIE, most states you bill Medicaid in keep their own exclusion list too — different formats, most with no API. CredGuard is being built to screen all of it automatically and hand you an audit-ready PDF.

No card required. Screening assistance + audit trail — you stay in control of every match.

Annual screening won't save you if "should have known" is the standard. And doing it by hand, every month, across every list, isn't realistic.

📅

Monthly is the standard of care, not a box to tick.

OIG doesn't require monthly screening by rule — but its own guidance recommends it because it "best minimizes potential overpayment and CMP liability." Medicare Advantage and Part D plan sponsors are required by CMS's Medicare Managed Care Manual to screen monthly — sponsors typically pass that obligation to contracted providers by contract, so if you contract with an MA or Part D plan, check your agreement. LEIE updates every month — so last month's clean check goes stale fast.

📋

It's not one list. It's several.

Federal LEIE and SAM.gov are the easy part. The real exposure is state Medicaid exclusion lists in most states you bill — every state a different format (PDF, Excel, Word, a search box), most with no API. Screening them all by hand, every month, is a lot to keep up with.

🔇

The danger is silence.

An employee or contractor gets excluded mid-employment and nothing tells you — until an audit does. If you knew or should have known, every claim you billed with them on staff can become an overpayment, with False Claims Act exposure stacked on top.

📈

The fines are climbing.

Civil monetary penalties run up to $25,595 per item or service for employing or contracting with an excluded individual — with an assessment of up to three times the amount claimed, plus exclusion, stacked on top.

Upload your roster once. We'll watch it every month.

Three steps, once you're live. No manual screening. No gaps.

1

Upload your roster.

A simple CSV of your staff and vendors. Takes two minutes.

2

We'll screen every list you need, every month — automatically.

LEIE + SAM.gov + state Medicaid exclusion lists in most states you bill. The matching engine we're building will flag exact and close-name matches; anything uncertain will go to a review queue so a human confirms it — nothing resolved silently.

3

You'll get the alert — and the proof.

The day a name hits a list, you'll get an email. Every month, you'll get a clean "all-clear" attestation PDF to hand straight to the auditor, plus an audit log of every check run.

Why the state lists are the whole point:

State Medicaid exclusion lists are separate lists that a federal-only check doesn't cover. CredGuard is being built to cover them alongside the federal LEIE and SAM.gov — the difference between "we ran a check" and "we can show exactly which lists we checked, and when."

Transparent per-seat pricing. No enterprise sales call.

Screening your whole roster costs far less than the maximum penalty for a single missed exclusion (up to $25,595) — every month. Early-access reservations get founding pricing when we launch.
